International Baccalaureate’s Schools in Bangkok

International Baccalaureate’s are well-established and well-known programs both internationally and within Thailand which many Thai public schools will aim to achieve the standard to provide. However, the realization of this goal may take time and for students in the meantime, there is an alternative.

The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) offers three specially designed programs for students between the ages of 3 and 19 years old. All of the programs are learning based and centred on teaching students how to think for themselves through inquiry-based learning. Combined with rigorous academic structure and method which are of the highest possible standard, this approach focuses on developing an international understanding of the responsibilities of being a citizen of the world.

The IB Primary Years Program is for students aged between 3 and 12 and focuses on setting a strong foundation of its students’ as free thinkers and natural enquirers.

The IB Middle Years Program is for students aged from 12 to 16 ad provides a further framework of academic challenges to reinforce what they have already learned and teach its students to understand the connection between what they learn in school and the real world.

The IB Diploma Program is designed to maximize its student’s success when going on to university, higher education or the world of work. Targeted at pupils between the ages of 12 to 19 it is taught over 2 years and has garnered much praise from educational institutions worldwide.
