RIS was founded in 1957 in Soi Ruamrudee in the heart of Bangkok before relocating to Minburi district in 1992. In 2019, a second campus was established in Ratchapruek area in Nonthaburi province. RIS Ratchapruek emulates RIS tradition and philosophy, providing educational excellence and opportunities to families to the district of Nonthaburi and surrounding areas.
Ratchapruek campus currently offers grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten 2 to Grade 6, with the intent of extending all the way to Grade 12 in three years.
Students benefit from small class sizes, air-purified rooms and indoor spaces, and age-appropriate playgrounds. The Early Childhood program is based on the Reggio Emilia approach and the District of Columbia’s Common Core Early Learning Standards. The curriculum for Elementary (KG to Grade 6) has been developed from U.S. standards with core subjects implementing the American Education Reaches Out (AERO) standards.
